Solar Equinox
posted b on Friday, 10 Sep 2021

Twice a year as the seasons change the solar equinox occurs. This event also impacts satellite TV due to the Sun moving directly behind Optus O10 satellite (the VAST/Foxtel satellite). This event takes place during March and September every year peaking around the middle of either month. The exacts dates and times of the day depend on your location in Australia and generally causes the TV signal to drop out for 10 to 20 minutes during the day across approximately 10 days. There is no need for you to do anything as the interruption will pass and normal service will resume.
